What to expect from Am I Being Unreasonable?
It has been months since Alex died in a train accident, and Nic has an even harder time staying in her unsatisfactory marriage with Dan. Her entire life revolves around her young son, Ollie, who appears to be the only light in her otherwise lonely life. However, things take a turn when she becomes friends with a woman named Jen, who has recently moved to the neighborhood.
An Unlikely Friendship
While Nic refuses to mingle with other moms at her son’s school, her connection with Jen is almost instant. The two realize they have a lot in common and get closer, resulting in Nic drunkenly confessing to her new pal about her extramarital affair with Alex. Jen later assures the depressed mother that the secret is safe, but she may be harboring some damning secrets of her own.
Everything Is Not What It Seems
Dan finds Jen unsettling and tells Nic to be wary of her new friend. However, with no one else to confide in, she continues to spend time with the woman, though she soon discovers that everything Jen has told her may not be entirely true.
A Not-So-Secret Affair
It turns out that Nic and Alex may not have been as discreet about their feelings for each other as they thought they were. After Suzi, Alex’s wife, insinuates that she does not want Nic helping in preparation for her late husband’s memorial, the woman goes down memory lane.
