Killers of the Flower Moon is about a dark time in American history. It is a thoughtful and reflective story. But it is also entertaining and engaging.
The movie is very long almost three and a half hours. But it keeps your interest the whole time. You won’t want to look at your phone.
Actors like Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Lily Gladstone perform great. There is also a good group of supporting actors. A couple of casting choices may briefly distract you. But overall, the acting pulls you into the story.

What is the movie about?
Killers of the Flower Moon is based on a true storybook. It is about the killing of Osage Native Americans in the 1920s. This time was called the Reign of Terror.
Mollie Burkhart is an Osage woman. Oil was found on Osage land. So Mollie and other Osage became very rich. However, the government limited the Osage’s access to their own money.
Mollie’s husband, Ernest Burkhart, and his uncle William Hale, wanted her money. They tried to get it through violent crimes.
Many people don’t know this history. The movie wants us to remember it. The Osage did not get justice then.
Mollie loves Ernest. But Ernest is not smart. He makes bad plans to get Mollie’s money. He listens to William. Ernest is part of the crimes. But later, he is not punished fairly for them.
Mollie is taken advantage of due to the limits on her money. She trusts Ernest too much. Lily Gladstone shows Mollie as thoughtful and graceful.
Robert De Niro is great as William Hale. He seems nice but is evil. Gladstone, DiCaprio, and De Niro should get Oscar nominations.
Some other actors are distracting, like John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser. They take you out of the story.
