Yes. Apple TV+ has renewed Down Cemetery Road for a second season.
Season 1 debuted on Apple TV+ on 29 October 2025 and introduced Zoë and Sarah as they dug into a case sparked by a house explosion and a missing girl in a quiet Oxford suburb.
When could Down Cemetery Road season 2 be released?
There is no confirmed release date yet.
That said, Radio Times notes the gap between the show’s initial announcement (April 2024) and its season 1 premiere (October 2025). If season 2 moves forward on a similar production timeline, a late 2027 release is a reasonable estimate.
What will season 2 be about?
Apple has not released a full episode breakdown, but a synopsis has been shared: Zoë is pulled into what looks like a straightforward investigation after a woman falls in front of a train. The case quickly expands, dragging Zoë and Sarah into the glamorous and ruthless world of black-market antiquities, and eventually into the orbit of a killer who will do anything to stay hidden.
That setup is a clear shift in flavour from season 1’s conspiracy-heavy mystery, while still keeping the same core appeal: Zoë’s sharp instincts, Sarah’s stubborn drive, and a case that gets darker the deeper they go.
Who could return in the cast?
It has been confirmed that Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson will return as Zoë Boehm and Sarah Trafford for season 2.
Beyond the leads, Radio Times highlights a couple of characters who could logically reappear if the story continues to connect back to season 1 threads, including Hamza (Adeel Akhtar) and C (Darren Boyd).
However, if season 2 picks up in the present (and not via flashbacks), some season 1 characters are unlikely to return following the finale’s events.
