Bart Ainsworth arrives at Northern Districts Hospital in a highly agitated state, suspected of being under the influence. Tensions escalate when he behaves aggressively toward nurse Jo Langham. Bree steps in to defuse the situation and take control of Bart’s care.
As she begins assessing him, Bart lashes out. He grabs a pair of surgical scissors or scalpel and stabs Bree in her side. Bree collapses against a wall, bleeding and struggling for breath.
Nearby staff rush to help. Jo, Levi, and other colleagues attempt to stabilize her condition in a race against time.
